Transit Village

Transit Village

Project location: Hoboken, NJ
Client: Monroe Center Development
Design/ Construction: 2004-2005
Projected Cost: NA

Working with a local developer, NPA did zoning studies and developed a master plan for a transit village at the north western edge of Hoboken connecting to the light rail system and PATH trains. The project was designed as a mixed use development with residential, retail and office uses as well a hotel, theater and restaurants.

NPA was the Architect for the rehabilitation of the two existing industrial buildings occupying the site, that had been converted to informal office spaces. The rehabilitation addressed code and ADA compliance, creating new lobbies and ground floor retail and restaurants. NPA also provided design studies for a new condominium development with landscaping and public spaces.
