NANDINEE PHOOKAN ARCHITECTS

About Us

Profile

At NANDINEE PHOOKAN ARCHITECTS we create value through design. We work with government agencies, corporations, community organizations and individuals to create environments that are attractive, economical and sustainable.

From its inception the focus of our firm has been on design excellence across scales in all of our projects. With increasing globalization our mission has evolved to include collaborations and partnerships with local artisans and professionals to create responsible designs that build on sustainable traditions and techniques. NPA has grown its portfolio of projects over the years into a diverse body of work, from master planning to architecture, interiors and products.

In 2009, NPA launched its design studio, IMAKE through which it has developed a line of products and a project working with weavers in Northeastern India. NPA's work has been published in professional journals and it has received several awards. Its products are represented at showrooms in the US, and its Octavo tables have been used as a standard at several Bloomingdale's stores. The studio environment at NPA/ IMAKE nurtures and promotes creativity, where the process of design simultaneously explores technical and programmatic as well as social, conceptual, and aesthetic issues.
