Designed for an extended family, this project involved the complete renovation and upgrade of an existing 1920's Park Avenue duplex originally designed by Rosario Candela. Working within the restrictive constraints set by the building, the design process was essentially subtractive, stripping down the existing and introducing a minimal design vocabulary that relies on the richness of material and texture to create a more contemporary space.
